I started as a visual artist upon retiring as the Artistic Director of Open Hand Theater for 35 years. Fun past work includes teaching at Syracuse University, Chairman of the Drama Department at the Metropolitan School for the Arts, theater programs at the Onondaga Indian Nation School, directing Circus Camp and designing and directing The Magic Flute with Syracuse Opera & Symphony. I am pleased to be recipient of the UNIMA National Service to Puppetry Award and the Syracuse Peace Action Award for Service to the Arts, co-recipient of Best Director’s Award 1994 International Puppet Festival of Siberia and the Near East, 1997 Post Standard Person of Achievement Award for the Arts, and the 2003 Onondaga County Citizen’s League Award for Service to the Community.
